Reflection Time

Up Early Designs

Each new year brings a clean slate. Success of the past is be built upon. And failures learned from. But as we prepare to ring in the new year, one thing is certain. We all start with a clean slate.

An opportunity to focus our efforts and achieve our dreams. Whether personal or professional, it’s an opportunity to start fresh. Yet many, unfortunately will start out strong and fade quickly.

Gym memberships will be a top selling item in January. As will vitamins, workout gear and more. We all have hopes and dreams. Yet they often fade in short order. I’m sad to say by February, those memberships will go unused. Vitamins will sit on the shelf. And the workout clothes may very well decorate the treadmill and other workout equipment.

The inability for many to follow through is less about being lazy. It’s more about setting the wrong goals. Though anything in life is possible, goals must be realistic. Goals must be something you truly want to achieve. Because success is directly related to passion.

The more passionate you are about something the better your chance of success. Sure, natural ability is nice. But it is passion that allows you to achieve your dreams. It is passion that pushes you over hurdles. That helps you understand how to overcome obstacles. To work through problems. And find solutions.

As we usher in 2017 be honest and true to yourself. Live your life, not that of others. Set your goals. Achieve your dreams.

Goals are relative to the individual. They are yours. Many may not see what you see, but don’t let that stop you. Don’t let anything stop you.

Here’s to a prosperous 2017. Be true to yourself. Tell your story. Inspire others.
